Group therapy can serve more clients per hour, but the price needs to cover real costs and still feel fair to the people attending.
Start with your costs
Add up the time for preparation, the session, notes and administration, plus space and screening costs.
Look at the market
Check what similar groups in your area charge, and what individual sessions cost at your practice, so your price makes sense by comparison.
Set clear policies
Decide on a per-session or package price, a cancellation policy, a minimum group size and any sliding-scale spots, and put them in writing.
Review the price after the first few groups and adjust.
